Hello everyone! Just an update! All is well in the U.S.A. I am getting very comfortable with the hot showers and constant amenities.. I think that means its time to get back to Sierra Leone!! I will be returning to Sierra Leone on Sept 8th. Hopefully after that I am traveling to the Eastern Province of Kono where we hope to be donated some land to build another community center. I will be in charge of looking at the piece of land and deciding if its appropriate for our needs, and then completing a Needs Assessment to figure out what facilities the new center will need to be equipped with. After that we can hopefully begin plans for construction!! I will be in touch when I am back in SL!! xo

Unsere Reise hat uns schon einige weitere tolle Erlebnisse gebracht, aber wir haben kaum Moeglichkeiten euch diese mitzuteilen (internet relativ schwierig, tastatur schei... und zeit sowieso keine:-))) urlaub halt.....) und deshalb werden wir gleich nach unserer rueckkehr ein paar lebhafte ereignisse beschreiben. Unsere Reise hat uns schon einige weitere tolle Erlebnisse gebracht, aber wir haben kaum Moeglichkeiten euch diese mitzuteilen (internet relativ schwierig, tastatur schei... und zeit sowieso keine:-))) urlaub halt.....) und deshalb werden wir gleich nach unserer rueckkehr ein paar lebhafte ereignisse beschreiben. Hallo alle zusammen! Wir sind endlich angekommen. Die Reise kann man nur als Abenteuer beschreiben... Bis Madrid lief alles gut - unser Anschlussflug sollte um 0:10Uhr gehen. Nachdem wir eine halbe Stunde im Flieger sassen und dieser sich nicht vom Fleck ruehrte, kam die Durchsage, dass ein Problem vorliegt, das man zu beheben versuchte. Sollte dies nicht klappen, muesste man halt bis Sonntag warten, denn die Crew duerfte nur soundsoviele Stunden an Bord sein. Aber, wuhu!, dsa Problem wurde anscheinend behoben und uns wurde gesagt, dass es bald losgehen solle. Oder eben nicht. Letztendlich sassen wir ueber 2 Stunden im Flugzeug, um dann zu erfahren, dass es nicht fliegen wuerde. Der wuetende Mob aus Fluggaesten lief dann eine Stunde ueber den Madrider Flughafen (wundervolle Architektur...) - wir natuerlich mittendrin, immer hinter englischsprechenden Menschen her - um danach in ein Hotel verfrachtet zu werden. Dort gabs zwar Wahnsinnsfruehstueck, aber kaum Schlaf. Vor uns lag ein ...

Well Republic of southern Ireland. actually from Galway. We arrived on Saturday after a fast but choppy trip over from Holyhead Wales. Bus into town then a walk through the Temple Bar area of Dublin to our centrally located youth hostel. We then headed out on the town and it was drizzley at times but hot and humid. so we did all the walks around the south side of the river Liffey and the celtic music and the night life is fantastic around the temple bar area. We enjoyed trad. Irish food in a little pub or so it looked from the street but it went back room after room. We sat and watched soccer on the big screen and then some celtic football and had our stew and guiness. The number of young people in Ireland is incredible and everyone is singing or listening to street musicians. We stuck our head into a carmalite monastary next door to our hostel dating back to the 1200s and we even got in an evening song at the Christchurch cathedral (anglican) in the middle of Dublin. again a

This morning started off quite lovely. It was sunny, a bit chilly but sunny. Right now it’s cloudy and cold, however what counts is that this morning was lovely. I have realized that I really haven’t written much about life in Melbourne and so I dedicate this blog to: Life in Melbourne. At the moment, it is winter, which means rain and wind. The thing about Melbourne it is that it’s known as a city that has the 4 seasons in one day. Melbornians dress to fit the weather. The rule is to make sure you wear layers – this way, if the weather changes, you can add/remove clothing accordingly. The morning could be rainy, the afternoon hot and the evenings, just right. However last week, it was mainly rainy and cold. This week is forecasted to be a bit better. The weather continues to improve as we get closer to spring. Strolling through Fitroy Gardens this morning on my way to work, I noticed the change in seasons. Spring is coming – the trees are growing
